SAY CHEESE! PHOTO CONTEST

Part of Le Festival Français, Say Cheese! is a photography contest open to everyone to mark 200 Years of Photography. No theme, no rules or subject — just your eye, and your creativity.

Whether you shoot on your camera or phone, this is your moment to be part of a national competition brought to you by the Australian Alliance Française network and the French Embassy in Canberra and proudly sponsored locally by Geelong Picture Framers.

All entries in the Say Cheese! Photo Contest will be on display as part of the "From Le Gras to The Lens: 200 Years of Photography" Exhibition at Le Festival Français (24 and 25 October) where a Public Popular Vote will also take place.

Un grand merci à Jeanne et Greg ! The first of the French language tours of the 'Discovering the Impressionists' exhibition at Geelong Gallery was held yesterday. The event was sold out and all the attendees thoroughly enjoyed listening to the insights and information in French from Jeanne and Greg (far right of photo). The next two tours will be held on Sunday 23 August

C'est quoi l'amour? (What is Love?) will be screened at 4pm on Saturday July 4 and Sunday July 5 at Village Cinemas Geelong in Ryrie Street. It is a French comedy-drama about a long-divorced couple who reunite to annul their Catholic marriage, only for the bureaucratic task to spark unexpected emotions and family revelations.
