We’re so proud to see Grace student Zac featured in the Geelong Advertiser! 🎬👏

Zac was part of the Vision Crew at the Victorian State Schools Spectacular, capturing all the action behind the scenes and gaining incredible hands-on experience in live production and filmmaking.

Zac is a wonderfully creative filmmaker and actor, and we love seeing him pursue every opportunity with such passion and dedication. Congratulations, Zac — what an amazing achievement! 🌟

🍿 Popcorn ready for today’s school group to sit back and watch their scenes!

And it got me thinking… a little reminder to all our actors about the importance of watching your scene work back.

It can feel uncomfortable at first—we’re often far more focused on how we look or sound than on the actual work. But learning to watch yourself objectively is such an important part of becoming a stronger screen actor.

Look beyond yourself and notice:

🎬 Are you really listening to your scene partner?
🎬 Do your reactions feel natural and truthful?
🎬 Are your choices clear?
🎬 What worked—and what might you try differently next time?

Watching your work back isn’t about judging yourself. It’s about learning from what you see, recognising your growth and becoming more confident in front of the camera.

The popcorn definitely helps too! 🍿

🌟 SHOW OFF SESSION – NORTHSIDE CASTING! 🌟

We are VERY excited to welcome Northside Casting to Grace Acting Studios for a special Show Off Session on Saturday September 5th!

Northside Casting is a major player in Melbourne’s casting scene, working across a huge range of commercial projects and helping cast hundreds of TVCs, modelling campaigns and online content.

This is an incredible opportunity for our young actors to experience a real casting-room style audition, practise their audition skills and receive valuable feedback directly from the other side of the casting desk. 🎬

Each session includes:
⭐ 30 minutes of one-on-one coaching and preparation with Assistant Director Libby Brockman
⭐ A 15-minute general audition with Northside Casting Director Ally Reynolds
⭐ Personalised emailed feedback from Ally Reynolds and Studio Director Sarah Grace

Perfect for actors who are regularly auditioning OR those who simply want to build their confidence and learn more about auditioning and the casting process.

As we get ready to welcome everyone back, we thought we’d ask our students one simple question:

Creating great actors is important to us, but creating a place where young people feel seen, valued and free to be themselves will always come first.

We can’t wait to see all our returning students tomorrow and to welcome the new faces joining our Grace family this term. Let’s make Term 3 our best one yet! 🎭✨

Oh, what a night! 🎉

Huge congratulations to our Tuesday Senior Masters for taking out this year’s Senior Teen Improv Comp! 🏆

It was a night full of incredible skill, unforgettable moments, plenty of laughs, and some truly memorable lip syncs! We are so proud of every single student who had the courage to get up on stage and give it their all. You were all amazing.
