Woah, what a social! Thank you all for joining us on Friday night for our monthly get together.

Huge shoutout to Damien for making his teaching debut for the taster class! 👏🏼

Thank you also to our amazing DJ’s for the evening, Susie and Steven, and our photographer, Tom! We are so lucky to have so many generous and talented community members keeping our events running ❤️

We’ve been a little busy behind the scenes recently, because we’ve been preparing our new studio to share with you! 🔨🎨

So clear your calendar for September 19th and make your way to Fortitude Valley, where we’ll be opening the doors and welcoming our community to our studio Open Day. Think specialty classes, raffles and prizes, food, friends and cheer!

This is going to be a FREE event, so if you’ve ever wanted to bring a friend along - now’s the time to do it ❤️

We can’t wait to warm our new home with all of our favourite people. We hope to see you there!

Remember, this social is at the Danish Club in Newstead where we will pay tribute to our home of the last 12 years 🏠

Wowee, what a weekend we just had at Gold Coast Lindy Fest 2026! Sharon Hanley and her merry crew put on another fantastic event, leaving us already excited for GCLF 2027!

We loved spending time with our CPS friends and interstate pals in the classes and socials. Special mention to all our students and team who braved the competition heats, and to Alana, Tom, Dave, Nick, Susie, Sarah and Rachel for making finals. We even had some podium finishes 🥇🥈🥉

We’re recharged and ready for another week of classes. Please complete your Census early to join Tom and Nat at Lindy this Tuesday from 6:30pm at the Danish Club.

Our themes for this month’s Lindy Hop classes are rhythm, connection and intention.

If you’re a regular Tuesday night student, you’re in for a treat. If you’re not - well, now’s the time to start! 😉

Lv 1 - Rhythm and connection: foundational skills for dancers new and old.
Lv 2 - Connection and intention: improving your Lindy Hop connection through intentional connection changes.

The coldest month of the year is officially over, and we're warming up with some hot August teachers!

No workshops this month as we'll all be at the Gold Coast learning from the best (see you there!), and working to get our new space ready before the end of the month!

Our August social will be the Danish Club, where we can pay tribute to the last 11 years of regular classes at this fantastic venue.

The time goes so fast, is today really August? Or are Julying to me?

Want to dive a little deeper into jazz culture and history than what we can cover in class? There’s a wealth of knowledge out there, if you know where to look. 🔍

Understanding and appreciating the history and culture of jazz is an important part of engaging with swing dances. Fortunately, there are plenty of books, blogs, podcasts and more out there for curious minds!

What should we check out next? 📚
