We are extremely proud to announce that we were named as the Winner of The Emeritus Professor Collette Tayler Excellence in Educational Leadership Award, at last night’s Victorian Early Years Awards!!!

It is an honour for our staff and committee team to be recognised for the great work that we are doing and we thank our families and community for their support.

Special mention also to for your guidance and encouragement, to Council and DE staff who support us on this journey.

For the last three years, our four year old kindergarten children have participated in a six week art project facilitated by local artists, Georgia and Marita Ensor. This project has culminated in an art exhibition, currently on display at the Newport Community Hub.

This year, the project focused on the Skipper butterfly which is native to Altona. The children loved learning about the life cycle and habitat, as well as experiencing and experimenting with different art techniques and mediums.

We held an opening night event on Friday for our HRK families, but the exhibition will be on display until 13 November so don’t miss out and get down to check it out!

Our 4 year old Kinder groups spent a full day on Country at Newport Lakes last term, exploring and playing in nature.

A big and tiring day for everyone but oh what fun!
