It was a pleasure to welcome the Trevallyn Sea Scout Group to the Australian Maritime College Survival Centre for an evening of team-building activities in the pool.

As part of our commitment to supporting the local community, AMC Search provided the group with cost-effective access to this outstanding facility.

Activities like these give young people the opportunity to build confidence, teamwork and practical water skills, while also introducing them to the Australian Maritime College and the many career pathways available across the maritime industry.

We hope the experience sparked plenty of curiosity about where a future in maritime could take them.

As part of the Engineering our Future Campaign, our MEH alumni recently volunteered at Brighton Secondary School in Adelaide during Thrive Week, taking part in the school’s careers expo and delivering a panel talk and a hands-on workshop for students exploring future study in Maritime Engineering.

A huge shout out to Angus Cheek, Chris Buchanan and Joseph Burke for taking time out over a couple of days to share their experience, career journeys and enthusiasm for maritime engineering.

This is exactly what Engineering our Future is about: connecting students with real people working in industry, showing them what is possible, and helping them see where a career in engineering can take them.

To our AMC alumni: your story matters. Whether you studied naval architecture or ocean engineering, you can play a role in encouraging students to consider a career in your industry and to study engineering at AMC.

We would love more alumni to get involved in future student engagement activities and help us build the next generation of maritime engineers.

Email [email protected] to find out how you can get involved.

It was fantastic to see 52 AMC alumni come together in Perth last night for an evening of reconnecting, reminiscing and industry engagement.

The event brought together graduates from multiple sectors of the maritime industry, highlighting the strength of the AMC alumni network in Perth and the important role our graduates continue to play across Australia’s maritime, offshore, defence and logistics sectors.

A special thank you to AMC Advisory Board Chair Teresa Lloyd and fellow Board members for hosting the event and AMC Search Business Development Executive Angelo Stoitsis for joining the evening and helping strengthen connections between industry and the AMC community.

Events like these are a reminder that the relationships built at AMC continue well beyond graduation, creating lasting professional networks that support both individuals and the broader maritime sector.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a great evening.
