Our children recently had a magical experience with a visit from Evegreen Children's Theatre! 🎭✨️

Their delightful show, Reef Experience, brought the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef to life. The children were captivated as they met a variety of colourful, curious and fascinating sea creatures, all while learning how important it is to care for this precious and fragile environment. 🌊🐠💙

A wonderful reminder that by protecting our oceans today, we can ensure they continue to be enjoyed for generations to come.

Last week, our director Sharon had the wonderful opportunity to attend the album launch of Aunty Sharron Mirii Bell for her beautiful new children’s album Bunyingganha (Breathe).  💛

These songs hold a special place at Banks Street Kindy, where we share them regularly with the children – fostering connection, calm and cultural learning through music. 🎵

is an aboriginal artist, singer, songwriter and author.

   

It’s been wonderful to see our children’s confidence blossoming and new friendships forming each day. 💕

Here are just a few of the fun and meaningful activities we’ve enjoyed so far:

🐛 Learning about resilience through shared storytime

🎲 Practising turn-taking and conversation skills during board games with peers

🎨 Building fine motor skills, problem-solving, and focus through arts and crafts

🌽 Exploring where our food comes from by learning about the corn life cycle

Every day brings new opportunities for curiosity, connection, and growth — and we can’t wait to see what our little learners discover next! 🌼✨

Bunyingganha - breathe was created to gently remind us all that our wealth is our health... We released the album digitally on 5/5/25 and we have been hearing so much wonderful feedback from you all, and now it's finally time to release the physical copies into the world!! Creating this album has been such an amazing journey, and I can't wait to celebrate it's release with mob, family, friends and fans. Come along, have a yarn, enjoy some tunes, and be a part of this special moment! 🖤💛❤
