Who's up for another reunion? 2011 was so much fun.

Today we joyfully welcome our students and families back for the start of a very special year at St Ambrose’s - our 90th anniversary!

For nine decades, our community has been a place of learning and friendship, and in 2026 we proudly continue that tradition together.

Here’s to a wonderful 2026 at St Ambrose’s!

As part of a new series celebrating the successes of our past students at St Ambrose’s, we begin with 2016 St Ambrose’s Graduate, Nicholas Pezzimenti and his upcoming success with his band, Tear Drive.

It was a perceptive comment by one of Nicholas’ teachers that he would be great at percussion, that instigated his love for music and the drums. This passion was further fostered in his Arts classes and private instrumental leasons through St Ambrose’s extra-curricular program.

Now his talent is being recognised with his band’s success playing gigs across Brisbane and their song entry, “Nothing’s Gonna Save You” in Brisbane City Council’s Qube Effect competition. You can listen and vote for their new release through the link below.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this talented young musician, whose dream began in a humble Arts classroom at St Ambrose’s!

Condolences to the Foran and Brown families on the loss of beloved St Ambrose's parish and school stalwart, the indomitable Ros Foran (pictured in our cover photo).

We hold Tony, Tracey and Mick, and those who loved Ros, in our hearts 💔

Condolences to the Clarkes - Michael, Phillip, David and Peter, and their families, on the loss of another "Ambrosian" legend - Heather. You're in our thoughts and prayers. Her funeral is tomorrow (Fri) at 10am at St Ambrose's.

We've lost another St Ambrose's cultural stalwart - the irreplaceable Norma Allen - founder of The Ambrosians.

As I prepare to farewell St Ambrose's... again - after 10 years of my 2 children being there (yes, second generation!) - I'm conscious that we missed the opportunity to get together for the school's 80th celebrations.

Rather than wait until the 85th, if there's enough interest, I'm happy to organise a past pupils reunion in 2018.
