As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations, we transformed our cot room into a calm and welcoming yarning space by temporarily removing the cots to create a peaceful environment for our children. Soft rugs, cushions, natural loose parts, and a rainbow water ripple light helped create a relaxing atmosphere where the children felt safe, comfortable and ready to explore. The children listened to the calming sounds of the didgeridoo, explored natural loose parts using their senses, looked through Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander storybooks with educators and investigated the sound of the clapsticks.

Kaayi families,
Our centre will be hosting Australia’s biggest morning tea next week 18th - 22nd of may to help raise money and awareness for those who have been impacted by cancer and we would love for you to join us.
You’re more than welcome to bring in a plate to share as your donation or if you would like to buy one of the delicious treats with a gold coin donation. There will be a donation box on the table or there is a QR code to scan, these will be hanging around the foyer. All funds raise will go to supporting cancer research and helping those families in need.
To help everyone stay healthy and safe we ask that you please be mindful of allergies, if any of the treats have dairy or eggs in them please let us know so we can label the ingredient. We are a nut free centre so please do not bring in anything with nuts.
We will be setting out the baked treats for sale in the afternoon, this way they can go straight home with you, these will be located in the foyer.
We look forward to seeing what delicious treats are baked! 🧁
