Meet the Team: Sam’s Journey ❤️
Meet Sam, one of our wonderful educators whose journey with our centre began back in 2016!
After spending several years with us, Sam decided to take some time away in 2019 to travel. Her passion for early childhood education never left her, and we were so happy to welcome her back to the team.
Sam is a passionate and dedicated educator who brings so much care, enthusiasm and warmth to her role. She is nearly finished her ECT degree, continuing to build on her knowledge and skills and further her passion for providing meaningful learning experiences for children.
Sam’s caring nature, dedication and commitment to the children and families in our centre make her such a valued part of our team.
Thank-you, Sam, for your dedication, passion and for the wonderful difference you make in the lives of our children and families. ❤️

Staff Development: Always growing ✨
Our team recently participated in valuable professional development with Insightful Learning and Education 🤍
The session explored the importance of effective communication and provided our educators with practical strategies to strengthen connections, communicate with confidence and support positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
We love opportunities to learn, reflect, and grow together as a team, continually building our knowledge and skills to support the best outcomes for our children and families. 🌱

LET’S CREATE TOGETHER! 🌈
We’re inviting families to bring in a piece of yarn, wool, ribbon or string from home to add to our collaborative artwork. You can also use the materials provided!
As you enter the centre, choose your favourite piece and tie, wrap, weave or decorate.. there are no rules, just creativity!
Every little piece added makes our artwork more special and represents the children, families and educators who make up our wonderful community.
We can’t wait to watch our creation grow 🤍

School readiness in action 🎒
Today our Preschool children enjoyed a wonderful excursion to Edgeworth Heights Public School, building confidence and familiarity with the school environment ahead of their transition to Kindergarten.
After discussing road safety skills before we left, the children walked to the school where they joined the assembly and enjoyed watching Indigenous dance performances. They then explored Indigenous culture through hands-on activities, learnt about native plants, tasted traditional wattle damper, played on the school playground and decorated their own boomerangs.
A huge thank-you to EHPS for welcoming us, and to our wonderful parent volunteers, Stacey and Emma, for supporting today's adventure 💛

Family, Fun & Pyjama Day 💙
On Friday, we had the loveliest afternoon celebrating Pyjama Day with our wonderful families who joined us for afternoon tea in their favourite PJs 🧸
Together, we enjoyed delicious treats from the bake sale, fun activities, and plenty of opportunities to connect, laugh, and make memories. It was heartwarming to see our children sharing special moments with the people who mean so much to them.
Events like these remind us what early learning is all about- building strong relationships, creating a sense of belonging, and bringing our community together.
A big thank-you to everyone who came along and supported the Pyjama Foundation. Your generosity makes a difference✨

🌿 Indigenous Connections 🌿
Recently, our learning has been inspired by the rich cultures, stories and artistic traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
Our Preschool children explored the work of Indigenous artists, using their artwork as a provocation for learning. Through observation, discussion and creativity, they experimented with colours, symbols and patterns, developing an appreciation for the many ways stories and culture can be shared through art.
For our younger learners, we encouraged a connection with Country by adding natural materials to playdough invitations. Exploring native leaves, seed pods and textured botanicals invited children to engage their senses, spark curiosity and build meaningful connections with the natural environment. 🌿
