This week is National Reconciliation Week
National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about shared histories, cultures and achievements and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving Reconciliation in Australia.
The theme for 2025 is The Next Generation: Strength, Vison and Legacy.
Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Please feel free to share these spaces and our beautiful collection of stories throughout our service with your child on drop off or pick up.
Or they can be borrowed to take home to read together with your family- please let an educator know if this is what you wish to do.
Reconciliation is a decision you make in your heart 🖤💛❤️

26/05/2025
Tomorrow is the start of National Reconciliation Week and signifies the ongoing journey towards Reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and non-Indigenous Australians.
Reconciliation is a journey for all Australians—as individuals, families, communities, organisations and importantly, as a nation.
At the heart of this journey are relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Reconciliation is also an education process and the key to positive change. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures should form a crucial part of our curriculum and provide the opportunity for all children to gain an understanding of First Nations cultures, traditions, and stories.
No matter how young or what kind of background, children can begin to engage in learning more through impactful stories created by First Nations people.
The theme of this year's National Reconciliation week, 2025 is "Bridging Now To Next".
Bridging Now to Next urges us to look ahead and continue the push forward as past lessons guide us.

Next Week we will be celebrating Harmony Week 🧡
Harmony Week is a celebration of our cultural diversity.
It is about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of Belonging for Everyone 🧡
Cultural engagement provides children with a sense of belonging, identity, and connection to the broader society.
When children see themselves reflected in the resources utilised, stories they hear, the traditions they celebrate, people and the languages spoken around them, they develop a deeper sense of self-worth and confidence.
They learn that their unique backgrounds are valuable and respected.
We want you to help us celebrate Harmony Week by sharing your culture with us.
Come cook with the children
Share your language with us through stories and songs.
Wear your cultural dress
We so look forward to a beautiful week of Celebrating our Cultural Diversity with you 🧡
