**Page run by the Barahineban Residential Association Committee** Barahineban, the youngest of the 4 traditional residential colleges at the University of Newcastle, established in 2001. Four time winner of the College of the Year award, and affectionately referred to as Bara, it is home to around 120 students each year, with roughly 40% of those students being 2nd+ year students and 60% being 1st year students. With studio apartment style rooms, Bara rooms can be shared by 2 friends, a couple, or just one single person. We are self-catered, and our rooms are equipped with private bathrooms and kitchens, as well as air-conditioning and Wifi. We also have a residential association which supports sport, academic success as well as the social life of the college
We pride ourselves on being a place of balance, somewhere you can study hard as well as make friends, play sport and attend events. Bara is a safe, fun-loving environment, where everyone is welcome.
