NUni would like to thank our valued members, guests, visitors and many supporters for making our weekly Zoom meetings during a pandemic a great place to meet and improve our personal communication skills. Let’s hopefully look forward to some face to face meetings!

How wonderful it was to welcome a former President from Griffith Guild Toastmasters (Griffith Uni) last week. Alex gave a very inspiring speech about her wonderful work with inclusive sports programs. We were also privileged to have Daniel from Newcastle Toastmasters awarding Mathew the golden gavel for his contribution to table topics. Thanks also all our guests and members for creating such a great meeting! Please feel welcome.

Let's find some courage in the everyday!? Congratulations to Christina for her very inspiring Toast of the Week. We may feel fear in the process but in the end we have our courage. Feel welcome to join our meeting and overcome some of those public speaking fears!

After scenes like these last week during the rain, we hope you are all a little drier this week and are able to look forward to some relaxation over the break! Please note that the University will not be open on Easter Tuesday so our next meeting will be Tuesday 13th April 4pm. Come along then and let's all improve our personal communication skills!

Welcome back to NUni’s face to face meetings! We are looking forward to our return to the Language Centre (LC205B) Tuesday 23rd February at 4pm. However due to social distancing, there is a limit on numbers for the room. If you'd like to attend, please let us know and we’ll reserve a place. If you are unsure and come without booking, please be aware we have strict numbers for the space. It was great to meet so many of you during the O week expo!

How amazing that our club managed to finish the year face to face with a great social meeting! We hope you are all able to celebrate face to face like these guys here, or at least make contact through social media.

From a few weeks ago…We had another great meeting with Jacob awarded the golden gavel for his role in presenting table topics!
He not only explained why impromptu questions improve our personal expression but presented a quest: a holiday with specific travel and limited means.
Where would you go with a hot air balloon? Or where would you take your bike?
Table topics is a great place to dream!
