Stage 2 are coming home!

We are returning, excited and tired, after a hugely successful and enjoyable Sydney excursion.
We’ve worked and learned together, experienced some amazing things, strengthened our friendships and, importantly, had a lot of fun.

Islington’s Stage 2 students represented their school and families with great credit.
Everywhere we went, we were complimented and congratulated on their positive attitudes, enthusiasm, manners, responsibility and great humour.
Be proud of your children, Iso parents and carers. We certainly are!

Congratulations to Callaghan College and the University of Newcastle on this exciting and unique partnership. We’re proud that, as a partner primary school, our Islington students will be able to experience and benefit from the opportunities this Academy creates — both during their time at Islington Public School and as they continue their journey into Callaghan College.

As part of National Science Week, we are excited to announce the "Callaghan College and University of Newcastle Academy of STEMM Excellence", exclusively for Callaghan students and our partner primary schools.

The Academy will create opportunities that inspire young people to pursue STEMM education and careers. Together with the University, we are building tangible pathways for our region’s next generation of scientists, engineers, mathematicians and medical professionals.
