Sensory processing is something so important in the classroom, but it is often so easily overlooked.

Understanding our students' sensory profiles can be so helpful in guiding us to understand what it is that their body needs for them to feel regulated and ready to learn at their best 🏆

💭This week, I was reminded of a few things involving the sensory processing of our students.
It's often something that can be easily overlooked as a teacher (mostly because we have SO many other things going on in our day that require our attention😵‍💫).

Understanding the sensory needs of our students can make our teaching style more effective and behaviour management way easier!🤸‍♀️

For a while, I wasn't reading much because I kept feeling that if I wasn't reading something that I was learning from, I was wasting my time. If I'm being honest, I find it hard reading 'information books' for pleasure. Reading books where I can follow an actual story is much less effort and it doesn't feel like work to me.

So I gave audible a try and now I'm listening to so many books while I drive, cook and clean! It's the best!🥳

I also got my groove back reading actual book-books a few months ago, by reading some fiction books that I know I'll enjoy. I started with some Suzanne Collins - that sure did the trick!🦅

It's been close to a year since posting an actual intentional post on here. I'd love to say that I've been taking a step back from social media, but that's not really true. I've just been preoccupied with very exciting life things - mainly, setting up our new house and playing with our new pup🐶 - along with a few other special events, travels and experiences this past year.
