From the Gold Coast to Cairns, the Challenge engaged 5,000 young minds during the 2026 Queensland leg of the tour. 🌴

In collaboration with local Universities, industry partners and Rotary Clubs, 26 distinct event days were held in 12 locations across the state.

Fraser Coast Anglican School (Fraser Coast Challenge) has been invited to represent Queensland in the 2026 National Final at Parliament House in October.

Tasmania's future STEM experts were busy building bridges and designing codes last month at the Tasmanian National Science and Engineering Challenge.

Across Hobart, Launceston and the North West, 1200+ high school students participated in a full day of hands-on STEM challenges.

The tour concluded with a highly competitive state final, where Launceston Christian School School claimed the title as state champion for the 2nd year in a row! The team has been invited to the National Final which will be held at the Australian Parliament House in October. 🥇

The event ran in collaboration with University of Tasmania , TasWater , Department for Education, Children and Young People and The Rotary Clubs of Tasmania.

Yesterday, 31 students from Years 7-10 represented the College at The National Science and Engineering Challenge held at the Kingswood Campus of Western Sydney University. The students worked in groups of 4 to solve various Engineering problems in competition with other schools from Western Sydney.

Our team had a great day and were successful in placing 3rd out of all competing schools. They represented the College with pride and demonstrated great academic comraderie with the competing schools. Special thanks to Mr Born, Mr Kobus and Nicky Alsemgeest for accompanying the students.
