Our keynote speaker is Elise Delpiano, National Legal Officer at the Mining and Energy Union. An experienced employment and industrial relations lawyer, she has led the MEU’s landmark Same Job, Same Pay case against BHP’s in-house labour hire arm Operations Services and several other Same Job, Same Pay cases in the Fair Work Commission. She assists MEU members with a wide range of employment and industrial relations matters, including in the Commission and Courts.
Prior to her role at the MEU, Elise led the Health Services Union’s Aged Care Work Value Case which resulted in increases to minimum award wages of up to 28.5% for aged care workers. She was also Associate to (now) President Hatcher of the Fair Work Commission.
