Teriffic article from Flow Mountain Bike. If you've ridden a mountain bike anywhere, have a read. And have a think about what small (or big!) thing you can do to help support your local club, or the places you love to visit.

Mountain bike clubs advocate for trails, run dig days, put on events, organise junior programs and so much more.

Club committee members are all volunteers with jobs, families and a life outside of the mountain bike club, and when member burnout hits, it can be catastrophic for the riding community.

We caught up with clubs from across the country to find out how they manage the workload and keep the proverbial train on its tracks.

And coming up with an updated format for online coaching that offers more of what riders want, uses my own time and skills to give you the maximium benefit during the sessions themselves, and keeps things fun and productive at the same time:

Roll call! Who's in?!?! Join and myself for a social ride around some favourite trails at Glenrock. This Saturday at 9am, meeting at the Gun Club Road trailhead (this is the main one, cnr of Gun Club Rd and Fernleigh Loop). 🚵‍♀🚵‍♀🚵‍♀🚵‍♀🚵‍♀💫

Aiming for a two-hour ride. We'll cater to the skill level of the group. Bring snacks, water, happy-joyful-friendliness and all your ride essentials in good working order. There is no tap or toilet at the trailhead
