So, what actually happens when you work with a sleep consultant? šŸ‘‡šŸ¼
Because I know the thought of sleep support can feel a little daunting, especially when you’ve been given 27 different opinions about what you should be doing already from strangers on the internet with 'perfect' mum lives.
Here’s how it works with me…
First, I want to understand what’s actually going on. Your child’s age, temperament, development, current sleep, routines, what you’ve tried, what’s working, what isn’t, how YOU ARE DOING, & probably most importantly, what you actually want to change (you're allowed to have goals).
From there, I create a plan that is completely personalised to your child and your family. No copy-and-paste schedules. No one-size-fits-all method.
Then, depending on the support you choose, we work through it together. I’m there to answer questions, troubleshoot when things don’t go to plan (because they won’t always šŸ˜…), and make adjustments when we need to.
And no, I don’t expect everything to magically be fixed in 48 hours.
Sleep is developmental, and sometimes there are a few things we need to work through before it all starts to click. Trial and error is key, and you don't need to do it alone.
The goal is that by the end of our time together, you’re not only seeing improvements in your child’s sleep, but you understand their sleep better and feel confident knowing what to do when the next hurdle comes along.
Because there will always be another hurdle. Teeth. Illness. Naps changing. Big-kid beds. New siblings. Preschool. You name it. Life happens, and that's okay.
My job isn’t to make sure you never have a sleep issue again.
It’s to make sure you know what to do when you do. šŸ¤ That's where the confidence lies, and sleep anxiety reduces.
Swipe through to see how working together actually works 😓

Helping families move away from co-sleeping is probably the highest proportion of families I work with. Maybe you never saw yourself doing it but here you are. Maybe it was working until it stopped because you're getting kicked in the ribs so much you can't sleep properly. Maybe you've lost touch with your partner because they've had to move to another room. Whatever the reason is, you're not alone, and it can be done in a gentle manner (no CIO here).

If you're ready to make the move from co-sleeping to cot, the families I help do this either do a 1-week or 2-week support package, to ensure we have the time to make changes and do it together, properly. Head to my website to book it in.

"You have nothing to lose! You will learn lots about settling babies in whatever way suits your family, which really helped me."

A challenging to start to life with a preference for mum, unconsolidated sleep both day and night, leading to exhaustion. After 1 week of implementing strategies, a total backflip!

Want to change your life in a week? Head to my website to grab your 1-week support package and get started today on the path to better sleep.

The negotiations are real. I have a university degree. You have breakfast spilled down your clothes.

Send this to a mum friend who you know squabbles with their little humans daily 🤣

If your baby is waking so much overnight and feeding that it's taking away from their daytime intake, this is known as 'reverse cycling'. Or maybe they're eating plenty of solid foods during the daytime but STILL waking frequently overnight for a feed.

How do we know if you child is ready to wean from night feeds?

šŸ¼Firstly - we only do it if that's your goal, you're exhausted & touched out from feeding all night.
šŸ¼ We look at age, weight and establishment on solids (if applicable yet).
šŸ¼ Then we look at how many overnight feeds are appropriate, if any at all.
šŸ¼ We come up with a different way of settling your child, do that overnight, but have a plan B and C to ensure you're not resettling for hours on end.
šŸ¼ Ensure daytime nap rhythm and caloric intake are on-point.
Essentially, changing any feeding/milk/bottle associations overnight to help your child consolidate sleep.

If this is you, DM me "night wean help!" and we'll organise support to do it gently, and what's appropriate for your child AND your goals.

Transitioning from the newborn phase, through the 4-month permanent change in sleep cycles into a new routine & rhythm can be daunting, especially when you have older children running around the house too! I often get asked if you can do sleep training whilst your baby is going through this 4-month mark, and the answer is a strong YES because it's been shown that if your baby is learning the skills of self settling, then going through 'regressions' will have less signs & symptoms. Note I said "learning" not "mastered".

Want to establish a predictable daytime rhythm and work on self-settling skills with your 4mo? Book a 1-week or 2-week support package through my website today - the perfect options as they both have follow up support.

Catnapping - is there anything more frustrating than putting your child down and knowing you only have 30mins to get everything done, let alone eat and have a shower? I GET IT. It's literally WHY I started looking up infant sleep research.

So if you have a chronic catnapper, here's the science behind why, and ultimately how we can help your baby consolidate their day sleep.

Having a young baby in the house is TIRING especially if you've got older children too. It's a completely different ballgame the second, third or fourth time around!

This is where sleep support enters. YES you can sleep train siblings of different ages at the same time. YES they have different techniques based on age, temperament and sleep situation. YES we can get everyone involved to divvy the load and improve the family function.

Needing to work on multiple kids' sleep? Book in a 20min call through the link in my profile and we'll talk about how it works and get started asap.
