🎉 OOSH Educator Day is next Wednesday, 29 July! 🎉

Next Wednesday, we’ll be celebrating OOSH Educator Day a special day to recognise and thank the incredible educators who make Minmi OOSH such a fun, safe and welcoming place for our children. Our educators work hard every day to create meaningful experiences, build positive relationships, encourage creativity and support each child’s growth. We are so grateful for the passion, care and dedication they bring to our service.

If your child would like to help celebrate, we’d love for them to share a kind word, a drawing or a handmade card with one of our educators. It’s a small gesture that can make a big difference and brighten someone’s day. 💙 We look forward to Wednesday as we celebrate our amazing Minmi OOSH team and all they do for our children and families! 🌟

We are currently celebrating an extraordinary milestone as we announce the retirement of our much-loved General Assistant, Mr Al, after more than 40 years of dedicated service to Minmi Public School.

For over four decades, Mr Al has taken immense pride in caring for our school grounds and facilities, ensuring Minmi Public School has always looked welcoming, safe and pristine for our students, staff and community. His hard work, attention to detail and unwavering commitment have left a lasting mark on our school.

Whether it was arriving early to prepare the grounds, helping with special events, fixing problems big and small, or simply sharing a friendly smile and chat, Mr Al has been a constant and valued presence in the lives of generations of students and families.

We thank Mr Al for the care, dedication and pride he has shown while fulfilling his role. His contribution to Minmi Public School cannot be measured, and his legacy will continue to be seen throughout our school for years to come.

Congratulations on your retirement, Mr Al. We wish you happiness, good health and many wonderful adventures in this next chapter.

We will be holding a clap out for Mr Al on his last day, Thursday 7th May at 2.55pm. We would love as many members of our community to join us as possible.

We will also be making a presentation to Mr Al at a whole school assembly on Friday, 29th May. All welcome.

Hi OOSH families 😊

We have some fresh chokos available for you to take home, set up at the sign in desk and free for everyone to enjoy. Please feel welcome to take as many as you like.

One of our families brought in a choko vine, and over the past few months we have all enjoyed watching it grow and thrive in our garden. If you are not sure how to cook chokos, they are very easy to use. You can peel them, remove the seed, and slice them up for stir fries or soups. They are also delicious when steamed or boiled and served with butter, salt and pepper. Another simple option is to roast them in the oven with a little olive oil and your favourite herbs. We hope you enjoy them🌿

Open Day is back. Saturday 9 May, 10am to 2pm.

Minmi Fire station will be throwing the roller doors open and inviting you in for a closer look behind the scenes at Fire and Rescue NSW.
Expect live demonstrations, a close-up look at the trucks and gear, and the chance to meet your local crews. Families welcome, questions encouraged, free giveaways on offer.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning

Lest we forget

Here’s a quick look at our upcoming Vacation Care program. We have a range of engaging, fun, and inclusive activities planned to keep the children entertained, active, and inspired throughout the holidays.

From creative experiences to group games and themed days, there is something for everyone to enjoy. We look forward to sharing these exciting moments with the children and making it a memorable holiday period.

Please note that the service will be closed on Friday 3rd of April and Monday the 6th.
for the long weekend. We will reopen for Vacation Care on Tuesday 7th of April and look forward to welcoming everyone for a fun-filled program.
