O.N.E

Twelve months have nearly passed, and instead of excitement for this milestone pride for my baby girl and twelve beautiful months of breastfeeding I’m met with an unexplainable sadness.

Not from the birth itself, but from the fear of the unknown when my waters broke early. From feeling torn between what I’d learned and what I was being told.

From being separated after birth, seeing CPAP cover her tiny face, watching her be pricked and prodded every few hours. From advocating so hard for her to only have my colostrum and milk, and the pressure of waiting for it to come in.

The shared ward, walking the halls every three hours like a ghost. The alarms. The fear. The exhaustion. The sound of the machines that still echo in my mind.

Finally being discharged, only to return days later feeling like I’d failed her. Coming home and realising I’d been conditioned to the mathematics of special care, not the instincts of motherhood.

I don’t know if these feelings are normal, but I wanted to share them for any mum who finds the anniversary of her baby’s first weeks brings more sadness than joy.

Did you know…?
Research is uncovering how early experiences can shape health for life.

🚼 Babies born by C-section, given antibiotics early, separated from their mums, or who miss out on breastfeeding may face higher risks of:
   •   Allergies, asthma & eczema
   •   Obesity & type 2 diabetes
   •   Autoimmune conditions
   •   Mental health challenges
   •   Weaker immune protection

💡 The common thread?
👉 The microbiome (our gut bacteria) and the way the immune system is trained in the earliest days.

🦠 Breastmilk helps:
   •   Restore balance after antibiotics or C-section birth
   •   Protect against allergies, asthma & autoimmune conditions
   •   Reduce long-term risk of obesity, diabetes & heart disease
   •   Strengthen lifelong immunity

🌱 Every feed is a dose of protection, designed by nature to heal, repair, and prevent disease.

🤱 Breastfeeding is not just food — it’s immune training, microbiome restoration, and the foundation for lifelong health.

🤱 Every drop is protective. Every feed is healing.
Breastmilk is nature’s way of rewriting the story.

💖 Your choices and support matter more than you know.

✨ Top 5 Questions Women Ask… Before & After Baby ✨

🤰 During Pregnancy
1. Is this normal? (cramps, discharge, movements)
2. How do I know if I’m in labour?
3. What should I pack in my hospital bag?
4. Which pram/car seat is best?
5. What should my birth plan include?

👶 After Baby Arrives
1. Is my baby getting enough milk?
2. Why won’t my baby latch?
3. How do I settle my baby to sleep?
4. Is this bleeding/rash/poo normal?
5. Does it get easier?

👉 Notice something?
During pregnancy, breastfeeding rarely makes the top 5.
But once baby is here, feeding becomes the #1 question mums ask.

That’s why Session 1 of my October workshop is FREE 💜
We’ll explore how the decisions made during labour and birth can directly impact breastfeeding — so you feel prepared, not panicked.

As you grow your baby, your body is already preparing for the journey ahead.
Your mind shifts. Your ligaments soften. Your muscles adapt. Your breasts change and develop—ready to feed your baby.

Breastfeeding is natural.
It’s biophysical.
It’s physiological.
It’s beautiful.

It’s meant to happen.
Your body was designed for this.

What isn’t meant to happen are routine interventions, unnecessary separations of mother and baby, bottles, dummies, and teats in those precious early moments. These things disrupt what nature so beautifully set in motion.

That’s why preparation matters.
Because when we understand how our bodies work—and how to protect that process—we can honour what we were made for.

Let’s get back to basics.
Let’s affirm: we are designed for this.

Love Meg x

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself—what made you doubt your ability to breastfeed?

Was it something someone said?
A story that stuck with you?
A previous experience that left you unsure?
Or maybe just the overwhelm of it all?

You’re not alone.

The truth is, most women can breastfeed—but many are let down by a lack of preparation, misinformation, and a system that doesn’t truly support them.

That’s exactly why this breastfeeding workshop exists—to give you the knowledge, confidence, and support you deserve right from the start.

Because when you understand how breastfeeding works and what your baby is naturally trying to do, it changes everything.

Let’s replace doubt with confidence—together. 💛

🔥 The Hard Truth 🔥

Women who didn’t prepare for labour often say:
“It’s okay — my baby was saved.”

Women who didn’t prepare for breastfeeding often say:
“Fed is best — my body just couldn’t make enough milk.”

💔 But here’s what they’re not saying:
They didn’t have the right information,
the right support,
or a chance to understand how their body actually works.

🧠 Breastfeeding is natural, but it’s not instinctive.
You need to prepare — just like birth.

👶 If you’re pregnant or struggling, don’t wait for the “I wish I knew” moment.
Because you CAN provide — with the right knowledge.

✨ I’ll show you how inside the Breastfeeding Prep Workshop.
Just 6 spots left.
