We absolutely love Jasmine’s story and this wonderful French is Cool initiative! 💙🤍❤️

From learning French at primary school, to an exchange in France, studying French at university and working with Alliance Française de Canberra, Jasmine has made French an important part of her life. And now, her journey is taking her to Versailles, where she’ll work as a Language Teaching Assistant! 👏

What a fantastic example of where learning a language can lead — new friendships, new cultures, study, work, travel and opportunities around the world. 🌏

During the Spring School Holidays, join us for 4 mornings of French grammar, with a different focus each day.

Intriguant!Our next drama screening on the 18th of September is based on a true story:
"The Money Maker"(L'Affaire Bojarski) follows the extraordinary story of Jan Bojarski, a young Polish engineer who took refuge in France during World War II. Desperate to find a job, he turns his talents to forging identity documents during the German occupation. Once the war ends, Jan finds himself struggling to make ends meet. Stuck in underpaid jobs and denied citizenship, he is unable to patent his many inventions. Jan’s engineering expertise seems to be wasted, until a gangster recognises his skills and presents an opportunity to produce counterfeit banknotes... Jan begins to lead a double life. For over 15 years he ran a counterfeiting operation from his garden shed, unbeknownst to his wife and family and became known as the "Cezanne of counterfeit money".
