Mindfulness is a practice that helps us focus on the present moment and be more aware of our thoughts, feelings and surroundings. It’s a tool that can help children and adolescents develop resilience, manage stress and anxiety, and improve their overall wellbeing. To learn more about Mindfulness we encourage our community to check-out SchoolTV.

πŸ“± SchoolTV is a valuable resource for families, offering practical, evidence-based information and support across a wide range of topics relating to children's wellbeing and mental health - including neurodiversity, anxiety, friendships, resilience, screen time, sleep and much more.

To ensure we continue to meet our child safety obligations and protect the privacy and wellbeing of all children in our care, we have updated the way we share information and photos on our page.
In line with current child safety standards and privacy requirements, we will no longer be posting images that clearly identify children, including photographs showing children's faces. Where appropriate, we may share photos that do not identify children, such as images of activities, learning experiences, children's work, or photos taken from angles that protect children's identities.
These changes reflect our commitment to creating a safe environment for all children and supporting their right to privacy and protection, both now and in the future.
The safety, wellbeing, and privacy of children are fundamental principles of child-safe organisations. By not sharing identifiable images of children on public social media platforms, we reduce potential risks and support children's rights to safety and privacy.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to uphold our child safety responsibilities.
Thank you for your continued support.

Each fortnight at assembly, we celebrate a student who has demonstrated wonderful qualities such as kindness, resilience, empathy, inclusion and care for others through our Mindfull Aus Award.

This award is special because it recognises the little things that make a big difference: choosing kindness, supporting a friend, showing courage and helping to create a positive and caring school community. πŸ’š
We are so proud of our students and love celebrating the wonderful people they are becoming! 🌈✨

As more children gain access to smartphones at increasingly younger ages, many parents are asking the same question: When is the right time?

While age is often part of the decision, true smartphone readiness is influenced by a young person’s maturity, judgement, self-regulation and ability to navigate the opportunities and challenges of the online world.

This Special Report includes an interactive Smartphone Readiness Quiz designed to be completed by children with their parent or carer. It provides a practical framework for discussing smartphone readiness, recognising strengths and identifying opportunities to further develop the knowledge, confidence and skills needed for safe, responsible and healthy smartphone use.

🌟 Congratulations to our Year 3 & 4 students! 🌟

On Monday, our talented Year 3 and 4 students had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Latrobe Valley Performing Arts Festival Eisteddfod. 🎭🎢

We are incredibly proud of every student who took to the stage and gave it their best. Participating in an Eisteddfod is a fantastic way for students to build confidence, develop their stage presence and share their talents with others.
A huge well done to all of our students for their courage, enthusiasm and commitment. πŸ‘

Exploring Neurodiversity with SchoolTV

This week, we are highlighting Neurodiversity as a topic on SchoolTV.

Neurodiversity celebrates the natural variation in the way young minds think, learn, communicate and experience the world. It recognises differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia and giftedness as important aspects of human diversity. Embracing neurodiversity helps foster acceptance, empathy, understanding and inclusion within our school and wider community. πŸ’™
