TA appreciation week ❤️

This week is national Teacher Appreciation week and although we appreciate our incredible team of dedicated TA’s every single day, this week it is an extra special time for staff, families and students to show their appreciation and love for our teacher assistants.
We are so thankful for how hard you work, your flexibility and team work ethic, the energy and laughter you bring to the classroom, your patience and guidance in challenging situations, your skills and knowledge and most of all, your ginormous hearts and the love you show for the students at NNPS.

Here are just a few responses from students when asked what they love and appreciate about the TA’s they work with:
-they make me feel special
-they are patient when I make mistakes and help me work through them
-they really listen to me and always have time to talk
-they calm me down whenever my heart feels sad or angry
-they help me with my work and explain things that are tricky
-they help me in the playground when I don’t know what to do
-they tell funny jokes and make me laugh
-they make me feel safe
-they make me feel like I belong

So to the real superheroes of this world, thank you from all the staff and students at NNPS!🤩❤️❤️❤️

Congratulations to our Interschool Chess Team, Mila, Olivia, and Lucas, on proudly representing our school at the recent tournament held at Brighton High School. We are incredibly proud of the way they challenged themselves and competed with confidence against other talented players (even competing against High School students!). Thank you for being such positive ambassadors for our school! Thanks also to Zoe for helping on the day as our NNPS ambassador! 🎉♟️

💙 FATHER’S DAY BREAKFAST! 🍳🥓

All I can say is… WOW! What an absolutely incredible turnout!
This morning, we looked out to a sea of families who arrived at school bright and early to share a bacon and egg roll, and some extra special time with Dad or a significant male role model.
The asphalt was filled with families, loved ones, laughter and plenty of smiling faces. It was so lovely to see our school community come together to celebrate the wonderful dads, grandads, stepdads, uncles and special male role models in our children’s lives.
Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning. We hope you felt loved, appreciated and celebrated — and that you enjoyed something a little delicious together!
And, of course, a HUGE thank you to the team behind the scenes!

🔥 Campbell & Mr Walters — the boys on the barby, keeping those bacon and egg rolls coming!
🥓 Sally — for all the food preparation and assistance.
💪 Ann, Carolynn & Liam — for jumping in with those extra pairs of hands and helping make the morning run so smoothly.

It truly was a team effort, and mornings like this are a wonderful reminder of what can happen when our school community comes together.
And to our brekky crew… we’re not sure how many bacon and egg rolls you cooked and made, but we’re pretty sure you’ve earned a day off from breakfast duty!
Wishing all of our wonderful dads and significant male role models a very Happy Father’s Day on Sunday!
We hope you have a fantastic day filled with love, laughter and, hopefully, a little more time together.
Thank you, everyone, for helping make our Father’s Day Breakfast such a special morning! 💙

💬 Students across Tasmania will soon take part in the Student Wellbeing and Engagement Survey (SWES).
SWES gives students the chance to share their experiences of wellbeing, engagement and learning at school.
The survey is confidential, and student feedback helps schools understand what's working well and where improvements may be needed.
🌟Have a chat to your child about why their voice matters.🌟

Our 'Jump Off' day will conclude the program. This will be on the Thursday the 10th of September and students are encouraged to wear something RED to show support for the Heart Foundation and the amazing work that they do 🔴❤️

As a proud school community, we care about ourselves and others. That’s why we’re excited to be part of Jump Rope for Heart 2021. Jump Rope has been getting little Aussies active and raising funds to fight heart disease for 35 years.

📚✨ BOOK WEEK 2026! ✨📚

What a wonderful day celebrating our love of books, stories and reading! 💙📖
A HUGE thank you to all of our families, carers and friends for getting behind Book Week and helping make our parade so special. We know there is a lot of behind-the-scenes effort that goes into these days — finding or creating costumes, getting everyone dressed, last-minute costume adjustments, hair, accessories and all the extra preparation that happens before heading out the door!
Please know that all of that effort does not go unnoticed. We hope that, even with a little extra preparation and time involved, the day was a fun-filled one for everyone and created some special memories along the way. ❤️
A big thank you to everyone who was able to join us for the parade. And for those who couldn't make it, we hope these photos bring a little bit of the Book Week magic to you and allow you to share in some of the fun! ✨📸

Happy Book Week, everyone!
Keep reading, keep imagining and keep celebrating the wonderful world of books! 📚💫
