A big thank you to Lizzie at the New Norfolk Library for running Rock & Rhyme for Ptunarra Child and Family Learning Centre families on Wednesday.

We had lots of fun singing nursery rhymes โ€“ Open Shut Them, Galumph Went the Little Green Frog, Five in the Bed and Humpty Dumpty. The story, Where is My Tractor, was a big hit with children! Each child had a turn at opening a flap and looking for the tractor.

Rock & Rhyme is on every Monday from 10.00-10.30am at the New Norfolk Library. And the library runs a special session for ptunarra families on the first Wednesday of every month.

Head along for some song and story fun!

๐Ÿ“ข Referrals are now open for Working Together โ€“ Supporting Early Learning in 2027

We are pleased to share that Working Together will again be offering up to 220 free early learning placements across Tasmania in 2027.

Working Together supports eligible children in their year before Kindergarten by providing:

โœ… 2โ€“3 days of free early learning (sometimes known as childcare) each week
โœ… Support for families to participate in the program
โœ… Access to a welcoming early learning environment that helps children build confidence

With the consent of the parent or carer, referrals can be submitted by any community service or organisation through our online referral form. Families and carers are also welcome to self-refer.

๐Ÿ“ Places are available through participating services across the North-West, North, Midlands, East and South of Tasmania.

If you would like to learn more about Working Together, including about eligibility criteria, please talk to a Ptunarra Child and Family Learning Centre staff member or contact Working Together - Supporting Early Learning - Tasmania:
