Students in Year 9 are currently participating in the Youth Opportunities – Elevate Program, which equips young people with practical tools to develop goal setting, self-belief, and emotional awareness. These important skills support stronger wellbeing, greater engagement in learning, and more positive pathways for the future.
During one of the recent sessions, students worked on setting personal goals and identifying clear pathways to achieve them. It was fantastic to see them reflecting on their strengths, thinking about their future, and taking positive steps towards their aspirations.
Well done to our students for their focus and commitment to personal growth!

This Friday is statewide moderation day – a chance for TAS teachers to get together, compare student work, and keep our marking fair and consistent 👍
We will see students back on Tuesday after the King's Birthday Public holiday.

A reminder that this Friday is a statewide professional learning day (student free day) for all DECYP students from Kindergarten to Year 12 💜

That means… no school and the perfect excuse for a little sleep-in! 😴

And the good news doesn’t stop there, Monday is also a public holiday for the King’s Birthday 🎈

Enjoy the extra long weekend!

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is central to life at New Norfolk High School, shaping how we build relationships, support wellbeing, and help students grow.
We are fortunate to have Jenny, our Support and Wellbeing Officer, working with students to create beautiful art for our grade blocks—building creativity, confidence, and connection along the way. She also plays a valued role in our Food Matters program.
Thank you, Jenny, for your ongoing care and support of our students. We truly appreciate all that you do.

Our grade 10 boys have been hitting Kollab gym each Wednesday as part of their fitness program building strength, confidence and healthy habits. Huge thanks to Kollab for hosting our students and also to 'Kids and Teens in the Valley' for their support in organising this program. Keep up the great work, boys!

Success or doing well at school isn’t onesizefitsall.
Every child is different. Different strengths. Different goals. Different paths.
That’s why we’re asking you to tell us what doing well at school looks like for you.
Have your say in our survey! We want to hear from:
• students
• families and carers
• educators
• future employers
• community members.
We need your voice. Your voice will help shape the future of education so we can create better support, more choice, and more opportunities for students and their futures.
Your story matters.
📅 The survey is open now until 19 June

Do it for Dolly Day

Three Year 9 girls from 91, Sienna, Aisha and Laurie, and 1 Year 8 girl, Ella Barber have demonstrated extraordinary commitment, creativity and skill in driving the whole school awareness
campaign for Do It For Dolly Day.
They made grade block displays, created a fundraising "guess how many lollies in a jar" and gave each Home Group teacher a quiz to complete with their grade groups.

Blue cupcakes will be available for a gold coin donation at the cross country event on Friday 15 May.

An exceptional display of student voice, initiative, and the New Norfolk Way!
