My family Day Care has been up and running for almost 1 year now. I've made a few changes to the out doors, namely trimmed the garden with a view to having better grass grow. This will help our outdoor environment look and feel better. Inside I have learnt to use the space more efficiently. Some of my lovely little one have grown and moved on. This leaves me with some spaces available. If you are in need of Family Day Care services, back by Port Stephens council and offering CCB and CCR rebates, then I might be what you are looking for. I have Wednesday and Thursday available, preferably for a 2year old or over. Please make contact and we can meet to discuss. I am located in Nelson Bay, on the way to or from the CBD. It has been a while since I've posted. Today we celebrate St Patrick's Day. Over the last two weeks I've programmed activities, all the while talking about today. We have concentrated on the color green, painted with green, colored in a clover, attempted cutting out a clover, worn a green hat, shamrock lays and today baked dark chocolate and mint flavored green cookies. Yum Yum. It has been a busy but rewarding time.?

Sustainability, reuse and recycle are really important values to teach our children. I'm learning so much as I continue on my journey with early childhood education. On the weekend I visited Salamander Recycling Centre with my daughter Jess and granddaughter Sara. I spent just $30 and came away with three toys, 3 gym steps, an amazing mirror for our outdoor area, a few ornaments for our fairy house and some sauce bottles for our craft work. Amazing and the children seemed to enjoy what I showed them today. Little minds being stimulated.
