Today Bornhoffen is surrounded by thriving bushland and a flourishing natural ecosystem, but this landscape hasn’t always looked this way…..

Over 60 years ago it was used as farmland, since then the land has been given the opportunity to regenerate and return to the natural ecosystem it once was.
Decades of growth, restoration and nature taking its course have transformed the landscape into the beautiful environment we see today. 🌳
Below is a timeline of the changes since the 60s.

Regeneration isn’t just about what we see today, it’s about creating a future where these ecosystems can continue to thrive.

Through our student programs, we provide opportunities for young people to learn about local ecosystems, understand the importance of regeneration and play an active role in restoring the environment. From planting trees to getting hands-on with nature, students can become part of the change and leave a lasting positive impact on the landscape.
