Our lovely carpet python, Kuta, has just shed!

This shed wasn’t quite runway-quality, but even snakes have off days.

Do you feed wild birds?

Did you know bird feeders can help spread bird flu and other diseases between birds?

The good news? Birds won't go hungry if you stop feeding them.

"Our research found that even birds visiting feeders every day typically get less than 10% of their diet there. They are still finding most of their food naturally," says Professor Emeritus Darryl Jones ( University).

By letting birds forage naturally, you're helping keep wildlife healthy.

On Friday, the EcoCentre was thrilled to welcome a group of international students from Greenwich College for an EcoTour led by student ambassador, Liam.

Along the way, we explored native plants, soils and fire management, and encountered some amazing local wildlife, including a curious magpie, a Tawny frogmouth, a Boobook owl, a koala in the distance and a Lace monitor climbing a tree.

It was great to connect people with nature and share the unique biodiversity in Toohey Forest.
