Another ‘total engagement’ with Deadly Science today for Stage 3 - Geology - First Nations Petroglyphs - ancient rock carvings that share stories, knowledge and connections to country. The children discovered how Aboriginal people used deep scientific understanding of rocks, weathering and landscapes to record culture and pass down knowledge for thousands of years. This year we celebrate 50 Years of Deadly, honouring the strength & stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Kindergarten helped create a special place in their classroom to show respect and pride - decorating with colours, patterns and symbols that celebrate culture and connection to Country.
Week 9 - Monday 14th September - NAIDOC at St Augustine’s - all welcome!
