Fountain Gate Secondary College Alumni

Thank you to all alumni for casting their votes in the Alumni Student Award this year. The competition was very fierce with a range of awesome artwork on show. It was a tough call but we are excited to congratulate Zohra and Chenuli on receiving the most alumni votes for their work.

Our first Alumni Scavenger Hunt as part of Alumni Week was a great success! We had a fantastic time collaborating with 5 alumni to produce posters hidden amongst the school grounds. Many students were curious and enthusiastic when hunting for the signs, but Mason, Manal and Syeda were our champions!

Congratulations to the three students for scoring perfectly on the quiz.

To end our first ever Alumni Week at FGSC, we were joined by alumni Alex Verhagen (’21) on Thursday and John Pouk (’19) on the Friday.

The Mariokart competition was tense with Ms.Keshtiar and Ms. Nguyen, also coming along to join in as alumni of the college too!

Thank you to all alumni, staff and students for supporting and getting involved with Alumni Week. We hope you all enjoyed the festivities and a reminder that we are still on the hunt for an additional alumni coordinator to join our team. Student ambassadors are encouraged to apply for our Alumni Captains program in 2024 by filling out the form on Teams/Compass or a physical version can be collected from the Alumni Office near G2.

Our Alum Night was an absolute blast, thanks to the incredible dedication and hard work of our Alumni Coordinators, Ngoc, Beheshta, and Lilly! They put in so much effort to make this event a huge success, which truly paid off.

We also want to express our gratitude to all those who joined us to celebrate 15 incredible years of Fountain Gate Secondary College. The night was filled with laughter and heartwarming reminiscing, reminding us of the strong bonds that connect us as alumni.

We're excited and looking forward to nostalgia, laughter, and new connections tonight. Sharing your success stories and reliving the good old days.

2023 Alum-night, see you there!

We love Alumni Week, and today was made even more special by a visit from Brianna Murgana, class of '22. Brianna returned to share her passion with us in an unforgettable dance workshop.

Brianna proves that when you follow your passion, work hard, and harness your talents, the results are magical. Her dance moves left us all in awe, and the energy in the room was electric!

We couldn't be more grateful to Brianna for taking the time to inspire us and showcase what it truly means to be a part of our alum family.

Thank you, Brianna, for being a shining example of what can be achieved through passion, talent, and hard work. You've reminded us all that success is born from love, effort, and determination.

As a part of our Alumni Week festivities, Kevin Huynh '21 graced us with his incredible keyboard skills and was joined by Nigella and Emily as they sang their hearts out during Monday's lunchtime.

Moments like these make our Alumni Week truly special, reminding us of the exceptional talent within our alum community. Thank you, Kevin, for sharing your musical gifts with us. 🎵

On Monday, the 2nd of October, we had the honour of celebrating Sarah Falkiner – our year 12 Alumni Captain, in receiving the third prize for the Frank Facey Award.

This student award goes out to any hardworking VCE students with a passion and fantastic potential for future leadership opportunities. Sarah’s efforts as the senior Alumni Captain were seen through her continuous dedication and commitment to the program. Throughout 2023, it has been amazing to see Sarah grow as a young person and even more as a young leader. We are very proud of Sarah and her achievements.
