Congratulations to our students who completed and submitted their Aboriginal Studies major projects last Friday! After a term and a half of dedication, research and creativity, they’ve achieved outstanding results. We would like to thank all community members who supported our students with information and knowledge throughout the process. A special thanks to our Aboriginal Education Officers, Braden and Joy, for their invaluable guidance and encouragement in helping everyone get across the line. Well done to all!"

Year 8 students got hands-on with geology this week as they modelled the formation of conglomerate rocks using chocolate, rice bubbles, marshmallows, coconut and other ingredients. Students explored how sediments are weathered, transported, deposited and eventually cemented together to form sedimentary rocks.
A delicious way to make the rock cycle a little more memorable! 🧪🔬

As our Book Week celebrations draw to a close, we reflect on what a fantastic week it’s been! So many students and staff got involved, making it a truly memorable event. Monday’s dress-up day was a hit. Over the week Mrs Gilmour ran a variety of engaging activities in our beautifully decorated library.

A huge thank you to Mrs Gilmour and Mrs Vidler for all your hard work in making Book Week so special for everyone. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Congratulations Archer!

This afternoon was the official sign up meeting for Archer's School Based Apprenticeship in Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician with Zac Campbell Electrical.

Thank you to Zac for all your support of Archer both for work experience early this year and in providing this amazing opportunity to Archer to undertake a School Based Apprenticeship and commence his career in the electrical industry.

Thank you to Ashleigh Munro-Lachlan from Busy At Work for all your work to support Archer with his SBAT.

At NHS, bullying is NOT tolerated. Every student has the right to feel safe, respected, included and valued at school — and we all have a role to play in making that happen.

💙 Be kind.
💙 Include others.
💙 Speak up when something isn’t right.
💙 Look out for each other.
💙 Remember that our words and actions matter.

Bullying is never “just a joke” and staying silent can allow it to continue. If you see something, speak up and seek help.

Let’s work together to make NHS a place where everyone feels safe, supported and accepted.
