This photo of 6 Glossy Black-cockatoos in a woodland of Casurina's was sent in by a local farmer. There is an old wives tale that an increase in Black-cockatoos in an area means rain ! Lets hope so.

This photo was sent to us by a Cotton Grower in the lower Namoi valley. It is an Eastern Bandy-bandy which they relocated from their swimming pool to their creek. They are a burrowing species usually found in cracks or under logs and rocks. While venomous they are regarded as virtually harmless.
