A big thank you to our students, staff, families and wider community for joining us and getting into the spirit of Book Week! It was wonderful to see our school come together to celebrate reading, stories and the joy of books.

Thank you also to everyone who supported our School Book Fair throughout the week. The funds raised will go towards purchasing new resources for our library, helping us continue to grow our collection and support our students’ love of reading.

Thank you for helping make Book Week at NPS such a fantastic celebration!

Father’s Day celebration 2026

We welcome our dads, and those who do the dad roles in our students’ lives, to attend a BBQ lunch on Friday 4th September from 11:15-12. Ms Stolty and our spectacular choir have been preparing a special Father’s Day performance for the occasion. Please RSVP by Wednesday 2nd September via the School Bytes form, or by calling the front office on 67922246.

Our P&C will also be running their annual Father’s Day stall during the morning session from the library. Help running the stall is always appreciated.

We look forward to welcoming our families to NPS tomorrow for our Book Week celebrations!

School gates will open to families from 10:30 am for our Reading Morning, with families invited to enjoy some time reading together before our Book Parade begins at 11:00 am.

Families are welcome to stay afterwards and join us for Friendship Friday lunch. Our Canteen will have a special menu available, including our Friday special, a Hawaiian chicken burger, which can be ordered through the My School Connect app.

Tomorrow is also the final day of our Book Fair, which will be open for purchases.

We look forward to a wonderful morning celebrating books, reading and our NPS community!

Max FM

What a privilege it was to attend Max FM with our school leaders this morning. I don’t often get to accompany them and it made me proud to see how much their confidence has grown to clearly deliver their parts. They organised themselves into order and enjoyed chatting with their wonderful host. Thank you to the Max FM team for providing students with this opportunity.

In Week 5 classes enjoyed a visit from Healthy Harold, taking part in engaging, age-appropriate sessions focused on health, wellbeing and making positive choices.

Kindergarten explored healthy food, physical activity and caring for their bodies through My Body Matters. Stage 1 focused on staying active, managing emotions and seeking help in Ready, Steady, Go. Stage 2 learnt about online safety, respectful behaviour and positive relationships through Cyberwise, while Stage 3 explored the impacts of smoking and va**ng and making safe, informed choices in Take a Breath.

A big thank you to our wonderful P&C for covering the cost for all students to attend. Their generous support ensures every student can take part in valuable learning experiences like Healthy Harold.
