Narrabeen Sports High School

Narrabeen has a proud history of success as a comprehensive, local, co-educational high school, catering for students in Years 7 - 12 located on the northern beaches of Sydney. Our school also has a selective sports program, ‘The Academy’ catering for students with sporting acumen who travel to the school from across the northern suburbs of Sydney. The school is first and foremost a comprehensive

secondary high school providing a strong academic, cultural, creative and performing arts and sporting program for all students. It is also a foundation member of the Peninsula Community of Schools - a partnership with two other local high schools and ten primary partner schools. While the school is focused on maximising the academic success of all students, it has a better understanding of the demands of sports training and has developed a flexibility with regard to assessments that is particularly helpful to young athletes. The school has a recent tradition of coordinating school musicals; Beauty and the Beast in 2014 and has established a school concert band. The school works closely with a diverse and unique community and has built its success on a creative blend of tradition and innovation. The school lives and works upon Guringai land, holding deep respect for the wisdom and guidance of the elders who will forever be the caretakers of this country. Narrabeen Sports High School has outstanding facilities and grounds, which includes a gymnasium, school kitchens to light commercial standard, Trade Training Centre in Construction, synthetic sporting fields and renovated library and school hall.
