Spice Bazaar is hosting a pop up restaurant during lunch hours, 12:00 noon-3:00 pm starting from 26th of Jan 2025.

We will be serving Indian-Chinese food. This cuisine is very popular among Indians and first originated in Calcutta, today known as Kolkata.

Kolkata is the birthplace of Indian Chinese food, which traces back to Hakka Chinese traders who settled in the city in the late 1700s, when it was the capital of the British empire in India.

While the traditional Chinese dishes tend to be bland, the Indo-Chinese version uses Indian spices and is much more flavoursome. Some dishes are as hot as Indian curries too!

The term Indochina (originally Indo-China) was coined in the early nineteenth century, emphasizing the historical cultural influence of Indian and Chinese civilizations on the area. The term was later adopted as the name of the colony of French Indochina (today's Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam).

So come down and try something new in the area. Prices start at $15 including gst, limited time only. We plan to run it till the end of February. Please come and support us.
