Before I move on to a new adventure, after 9 amazing years at I just want to take the chance to say to all the students and staff I’ve been immensely lucky to work with, as well as all the wonderfully supportive parents I’ve got to meet over those years!

Especially to all the students - whether it be in the classroom, through mentoring, or just having some banter, it is always so rewarding to get to know you all and see you succeed in so many different ways, and those interactions with you always remind me why I became a teacher!

Over the last 5 years it has been an immense privilege to transform the to become a support hub for the entire school community and I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has told me over the years what a difference our spaces and services have made to their teaching and learning - it means so much to me to hear that…

From the in 2014, to the life changing trip to to and going from oversized check shirts to the more casual polo shirt and look, will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️ so again,

Exciting news for senior students of - the refurbishment of Meeting/Study Room D in the has just been completed!

Thanks to the generous funding of our recently retired Principal and Larry’s hard work to realise the Teacher Librarian’s design for it, this room has received some fantastic upgrades, including:

- a brand new 75” interactive touchscreen panel with awesome casting capabilities
- a large whiteboard-writable wall space
- an abundance of device charging points

You can see some of our wonderful Year 12 Biology students demonstrating vertical learning and use of the panel’s interactive features to revise for their upcoming HSC Exam!

Plus we will soon be arranging for the installation of whiteboard surfacing on the desks!

Need a whiteboard marker?? Simply ask a member of the Learning Centre team!!

At the moment it seats up to 6 students, but once social distancing rules can be relaxed, there is room for up to 10!!

As always, this and our three other meeting/study rooms can booked through the booking computer inside the (up to two weeks in advance of when you want to use it).

We know this will be a very popular learning space and we hope the new facilities and ambience help you to achieve your goals in your senior studies…

Students of please take note - due to COVID-19 restrictions still in place upon our return to school, the opening hours of the PHS Learning Centre]] have had to change for this term.

The major changes are:
- We will no longer be open before school
- No student entry at recess and lunchtimes

Details on the arrangements for senior students using the Senior Learning Centre during their free periods will be available when you visit us upon your return to school.

All other features of the PHS Learning Centre]] will be running as normal, including book loans, device charger loans and Beyond the Bell!

Year 12 class of 2021 - we are super excited to be able to open the for ‘bubble groups’ of up to five students, starting from this Thursday (7th October) all the way through to the end of Week 2, before you return to your normal timetable for face-to-face learning from Week 3!

You must register if you want to attend and there are important rules, so please see the info in the post.

I look really forward to the opportunity to welcome some of you back to school earlier than expected and hope this offering can give you that extra edge as you prepare for your final exams!

FREE online lectures / seminars presented by - week 2 of this upcoming school holidays!

With offerings for the following groups:
- Current Year 12s: Exam revision lectures for HEAPS of subjects! Plus future study options seminars presented by various Unis including
- Year 12 class of 2022: Awesome lectures to give you a great head start in your upcoming HSC subjects
- Parents of senior students: Supporting your child through their studies and exams
- Year 9s and 10s: lectures covering some of your core subjects to give you that extra edge heading into Term 4

If there is a clash with lectures you want to attend for different subjects running at the same time or you can’t make any live lectures on the day, don’t stress!! Once you register, lecture recordings are available to watch/re-watch at any time + you can download the lecture slides to aid revision!!
