💗💚 October – Two Causes, One Stronger Community

This October, Narooma Rotary is helping raise awareness for both Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Mental Health Awareness Month.

Breast cancer reminds us of the importance of early detection, knowing the signs and supporting those going through treatment and recovery.

Mental health matters too. Check in with yourself, check in with others, start a conversation and remember that seeking support is a sign of strength.
Sometimes a simple “Are you OK?” can make a real difference.

💗 Look after your body.
💚 Look after your mind.
🤝 Look after each other.

September — What a Month for Narooma Rotary!

September was another busy month for Narooma Rotary, with community events, new initiatives and plenty happening behind the scenes.

🎬 End Polio Now Movie Night
A fantastic 75 people attended our movie night at Narooma Kinema, helping us raise $742 for End Polio Now. A big thank you to everyone who came along and supported the evening.

🚌 Narooma to Moruya TAFE Transport Pilot
Work continued on our proposed transport pilot to help local apprentices, trainees and young people travel from the Narooma area to Moruya TAFE. Information sessions were held during September, helping us understand the level of community need and interest.

🌿 Narooma Rotary Market
Unfortunately, our September market had to be cancelled due to the weather.
It was disappointing for our stallholders, visitors and volunteers, and we thank everyone for their understanding.

☕ Business Networking Breakfasts
Our Business Networking Breakfasts continued to bring local businesses and community members together, providing an opportunity to connect, share ideas and hear what's happening within our local business community.

September may not have gone entirely to plan, but it was certainly a productive month.

What a fantastic night, with a big turnout, plenty of laughs and friendly rivalry. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a success.
