Weβre so proud of the Magdalene Catholic College boys and girls 11/12s at the South West Sydney School Regional Tournament.
The boys played an incredible performance and came home in 3rd place, while the girls were absolutely unstoppable- undefeated all day, with only 2 points scored against them! The girls will progress to play at Champion of Champions later this year. Amazing effort from both teams.

Police are committed to the safety and wellbeing of young people and our entire community. With the growing popularity of e-bikes, weβre sharing important information to help families make informed decisions and keep riders safe.
Our focus is simple, protecting young people and the community. While e-bikes are a popular and convenient way to travel, unsafe or illegal use can place riders and others at serious risk.
Itβs important to understand that police will not pursue young people on e-bikes where it creates an unacceptable risk. These incidents can lead to serious injury or even death for riders, pedestrians or other road users. Safety will always come first.
We are working closely with local schools and Camden Council to deliver community information sessions. These sessions will help parents and carers understand:
β’ Whether an e-bike is legal or non-compliant
β’ The risks of unsafe riding
β’ The legal consequences of using non-compliant devices
We strongly encourage families to attend and ensure any e-bike purchased for a young person complies with NSW regulations.
Non-compliant e-bikes are treated as unregistered and uninsured motor vehicles, with fines and demerit points that can impact learner, provisional and full licences.
Additional fines may apply for:
β’ Not wearing a helmet (including passengers)
β’ Riding on a footpath (aged 16 or over)
β’ Failing to give way to pedestrians
β’ Disobeying stop/give way signs or traffic lights
β’ Using a mobile phone while riding
β’ Riding across pedestrian crossings
E-bikes are a great mobility tool when theyβre legal and ridden responsibly.
