We are proud to announce that Sienna Beller has been recognised as Magdalene Catholic College’s recipient of the Bishop’s Student Excellence Award ✨.

Presented by Bishop Brian Mascord, this honour recognises one outstanding Year 12 student from each Catholic secondary and K–12 school who exemplifies the values of integrity, compassion, justice, and hope 💛. Sienna has lived these Gospel values through her dedication to learning, her service to others, and her active involvement in the faith life of our school community 🙏.

Sienna’s contribution truly stands as a testimony to what is possible when faith is lived, not merely spoken🌿.

We congratulate Sienna on this outstanding achievement and thank her for the lasting impact she has made on the vibrancy of our school community.

Magdalene Shines at Diocesan Athletics 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Magdalene had a very successful day at the Diocesan Athletics Carnival last Friday, finishing 3rd overall! 🎉

A massive congratulations to Tahlia Tabone, who broke the 16 Years Girls 100m Wollongong Diocesan record, and to Anika Mumberson, who was named 15 Girls Age Champion! 🏆

Congratulations to all of our students who competed and represented Magdalene with such pride, determination and sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of you all 💪🏼

With some stormy weather leading up to this year’s event, the clouds parted to reveal some beautiful clear skies for the 2026 MISA Golf Championships.
Congratulations to all golfers who played well under damp conditions. A special congratulations to Christian Skapetis of Year 7 and Oliver Birkin of Year 11, who both placed first in the Nett competition. Testament to our golfers success on the day, we took out 2nd, and two 3rd places in the Nett competitions, which is recognition of the score shot on the day compared to their Golf Australia Handicap. ⛳️

Join Us for the St Vincent de Paul Winter Sleep Out at Magdalene! 🛏️❄️

We are thrilled to offer our students the chance to participate in a national event right here at Magdalene. Join us for the St Vincent de Paul Winter Sleep Out from Friday, 28th August to Saturday, 29th August!

This event raises awareness about the incredible work of the St Vincent de Paul Society in our community.

Event Details:
📅 Date: Friday, 28th August - Saturday, 29th August
🕓 Time: 4:00 pm (Friday) - 9:00 am (Saturday)
👥 Participants: Students from Years 10, 11, and 12, along with staff
🎉 Pre-Sleep Out Activities: Stay at school from 2:35 pm for sports and recreational activities or return by 4:00 pm for the sleepout

This event supports the essential work of the St Vincent de Paul Society.

On Friday 24 July, eight students proudly represented Magdalene at the Diocesan Tennis Championships held at Tennis Macarthur in Leumeah. Despite facing some tough matches, the students fought for every point and demonstrated exceptional teamwork by encouraging one another throughout the competition. Congratulations to all students for their outstanding effort, with both the boys’ and girls’ divisions finishing 7th overall 🎾

Success at NSWCCC Cross Country

Students from Magdalene Catholic College proudly represented the College at the NSWCCC Cross Country Championships yesterday at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre.

Competing against some of the state’s best runners, all students represented Magdalene with determination, sportsmanship, and pride, giving their best efforts throughout the day.

A special congratulations goes to Brodie Ahern and Luca Sen, who have earned selection to progress to the NSW All Schools Cross Country Championships. Brodie produced an outstanding performance to finish 4th in the 12 Years Boys age group, while Luca placed 7th in the 17 Years Boys age group.

Congratulations also to Haven Billingham, Harper Billingham, Roseanna Wiggins, Mitchell Russell, Mitchell McCauley, Max Liddell, and Harry Brookes, who all competed strongly and represented the College with distinction.

We wish Brodie and Luca the very best as they take on the state’s top athletes at the NSW All Schools Cross Country Championships on Tuesday, 21 July.

🏉📣 Congratulations to Brianna Richards! 📣🏉

Congratulations to Brianna Richards on her selection in the 2026 NSWCCC Under 16’s Rugby League Team and on receiving her representative jersey.

Brianna’s selection is a wonderful achievement and recognition of her hard work, dedication and commitment to the sport. She will now have the opportunity to represent NSW Combined Catholic Colleges at the Australian Secondary Rugby League Championships in Coffs Harbour.

We wish Brianna all the very best for the tournament and look forward to following her journey as she proudly represents both NSWCCC and Magdalene Catholic College.
