This is a nationally recognised first aid training, delivered in a way that actually considers nervous systems, communication differences, sensory needs, and real-life supportive environments.

Coastal environments are beautiful, but they also come with risksโfrom strong surf conditions to encounters with marine life. Understanding basic first aid helps you respond quickly and confidently if someone is injured, stung, or distressed in the water. Fast action can reduce pain, prevent complications, and in serious cases, save a life.
Itโs especially important to be aware of some of the most venomous creatures in our ocean, including:
- Box jellyfish
- Irukandji jellyfish
- Blue-ringed octopus
- Stonefish
While encounters with these animals are rare, knowing how to recognise danger and provide immediate first aid ensures youโre better prepared to keep yourself and others safe during your coastal adventures.
