🍲 Wombat Stew, Ooooooey Gooey Wombat Stew! 🍲
Today at Kids Jungle, we didn’t just read the story—we cooked it up ourselves!
Our little storytellers dove into sensory play inspired by the classic Aussie tale Wombat Stew by Marcia K. Vaughan.
Using soil, leaves, gumnuts, feathers, and plenty of imagination, they chanted:

“Wombat stew,
Wombat stew,
Crunchy munchy
for my lunchy
Wombat stew!” 🎶
Each ingredient from the tale was recreated and explored hands-on. The children read the recipe cards, matched animal characters, and added their own twist to the mix!
