πŸ“š Macbeth Comes to Life 🎭

Our Year 9 STEP English students have been exploring Shakespeare’s Macbeth, creating visual representations of the key themes throughout the play.

Their striking posters showcase both creativity and a strong understanding of Shakespeare’s work and are currently proudly on display in our Library.

Fantastic work, Year 9! πŸ‘πŸ“–

🎭🎢 Central Coast Schools Showcase 🎢🎭

On Wednesday, some of our brilliant Drama and Music students took to the stage at Laycock Street Theatre for the Central Coast Schools Showcase!

Year 9 students Alexander and William brought impeccable comic timing to their Drama performance, while Jasmine delivered a powerful vocal solo. Our rock band β€” Emily, Bence, Inura, Sithula, Alina, Veronica and Lincoln β€” absolutely owned the stage, performing with incredible energy and professionalism! 🎸🎀

We are so proud to provide our young artists with opportunities to take their work beyond the classroom, share their talents with the wider community and experience the excitement of performing on a professional stage.

A very special night for NVHS, and we couldn’t be prouder of them all! πŸ’«πŸ‘

πŸ’« A Special Visit to NVHS

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the Hon. Prue Car, Deputy Premier of NSW and Minister for Education and Early Learning and Liesl Tesch MP, Member for Gosford, to Narara Valley High School yesterday.

During their visit, they spent time speaking with a number of staff and students, viewed some of the exciting new building works taking place around our school, joined the students for some of our Wear It Purple Day celebrations and had the opportunity to view a selection of our talented Stage 6 Visual Arts students’ Major Works.

It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our school, our students and the many exciting things happening at NVHS.

We thank the Deputy Premier and Liesl Tesch MP for taking the time to visit us and experience our school community in action. We were incredibly proud to share what makes NVHS such a special place!

πŸ“šβœ¨ Book Week at NVHS! βœ¨πŸ“š

This week at NVHS, we celebrated Book Week with plenty of fun across the school!

Throughout the week, students joined in the hunt for mini Wallys hidden around the school and put their knowledge to the test with Book Week trivia.

Today was the perfect way to finish the week, with a huge range of students and staff getting into the spirit and dressing up as some of their favourite book characters! πŸ“–πŸŽ

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make Book Week such a fun celebration of stories, imagination and reading! 🌟

🌍🏴 Dancing on the World Stage! 🏴🌍

We are incredibly proud of Sophie and all she has achieved. What an amazing experience and a wonderful accomplishment! πŸ’«

πŸ’œ Wear It Purple Day 2026 πŸ’œ

What a lovely day celebrating inclusion, support and belonging across our school community! 🌈

It was wonderful to see so many students and staff adding a touch of purple and getting involved in today’s activities.

Today was a reminder that every student deserves to feel safe, supported, valued and proud to be themselves. πŸ’œ

Together, we continue to create a school where everyone belongs.

πŸ“š Literacy Learning in Action! πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

Our Year 7 STEP students put their Japanese language skills into action with a fun group challenge. Students worked together to create common Japanese nouns by combining mora (syllables) using hiragana, before matching each word with its correct English meaning to demonstrate their understanding.

The level of engagement was fantastic, with students collaborating, problem-solving and applying their learning with confidence.

A wonderful example of literacy learning in action in our Languages classroom! 🌟
