This week, our children explored colour mixing through a hands-on sensory experience using milk, oil and droppers. 🌈

As they experimented, they investigated cause and effect, strengthened their fine motor skills, and shared their observations with one another. Through open-ended exploration, children developed curiosity, critical thinking and confidence as they discovered how simple materials can inspire meaningful learning. ✨

Celebrating Friendship Day ✨🌈

Today, our Toddler 2 children welcomed our Nursery friends for a beautiful shared painting experience. Together, they explored colour, creativity and self-expression, contributing to a collaborative artwork that celebrated each child’s unique ideas and imagination.

Through experiences like these, children build friendships, learn from one another and discover that when we create together, every contribution is valued. 🌈💛

Our toddler 2 children immersed themselves in a sensory rich experience, discovering the many ways colours can be explored through play. As little hands mixed, poured, observed and experimented, the children were developing their curiosity, creativity and confidence while engaging all of their senses.

🌈✨ Exploring Colour, Light & Imagination!

Today our Toddler 2 children explored colour, light and creativity through open-ended play at the light table. Using colourful translucent blocks, they discovered vibrant colours, compared shapes, shared their ideas and worked together to build imaginative towers.

Through hands-on exploration, children develop curiosity, problem-solving skills and confidence as they learn through play.

💛🧸 Pyjama Day 🧸💛

Pyjama Day is about so much more than wearing our favourite pyjamas. It creates a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, secure and connected, supporting their wellbeing and sense of belonging.

Today was filled with cosy cuddles, shared stories, laughter and meaningful moments. Through these simple experiences, children build relationships, develop confidence and learn that they are part of a caring community. 💛✨

🩻✨ Curiosity was shining bright today as our toddler room transformed into a place of discovery and investigation!

Using our light table, the children explored real X-rays of different body parts, including hands, feet, arms and legs. They carefully observed the images, compared shapes, identified body parts and shared their ideas with one another.

Through meaningful conversations, questioning and collaborative thinking, the children developed their understanding of the human body while building observation, language and critical thinking skills. What a wonderful way to spark curiosity and a love of learning! 💙🦴🔍

🩺 Our little doctors continued their learning through hands-on exploration with real medical equipment! The children investigated stethoscopes, bandages and other doctor tools, discovering how they help people feel better. They listened to heartbeats, carefully wrapped bandages and gently cared for their patients, showing empathy, kindness and a wonderful understanding of caring for others. 💙👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

As we wrap up NAIDOC Week, we reflect on a week filled with meaningful learning, cultural appreciation and opportunities to celebrate the rich histories, cultures and stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. 🌈🐍

Throughout the week, the children explored the Dreaming story of the Rainbow Serpent through meaningful conversations and creative experiences. They shared their ideas, made connections with the story and expressed their thinking before collaborating on a vibrant Rainbow Serpent artwork. Using paint, feathers, brushes, hands and feet, each child explored colour, texture and movement while celebrating First Nations storytelling, culture and creativity. ❤️🖤💛
