Using Goal cards is important, even in a home school setting, as it is so much more than keeping track of where the student is up to!
Goal cards help the student to learn how to break a large goal (like finishing a PACE or working towards graduation) into daily accomplishments. It teaches responsibility to maintain and manage their own progress, and it teaches accountability.
It is also important to get it right! This is up to you as a parent to know, and to help the student. If you are new to A.C.E., it can be a bit to get your head around, but here are some simple things to watch out for.

Tips for using Goal Cards:
1. Students write goals in pen to encourage commitment.
2. Only a Supervisor can change goals.
3. Place the Goal Card in the upper right corner of the student office.
