The Children’s University Passport students enjoyed a day at Adelaide University’s Mount Gambier Campus, where they learned, explored, and engaged in hands-on experiences. Each student earned 2 hours towards their Children’s University Passport! 📚✨
This international program inspires children aged 5 to 14 to explore learning in fun, meaningful, and hands-on ways. Students voluntarily take part in 30 hours or more of extracurricular learning. Each activity is recorded in their Passport to Learning and linked to real university subjects, building confidence while expanding their understanding of the world. 🌍
They learned how to care for an injured person and safely swaddle a baby, drawing on insights from Nursing & Midwifery. The Indi Cars program allowed students to sharpen their problem-solving and coding skills, igniting curiosity in everyone. Students also teamed up with the Landscape Board to investigate the Valley Lakes, where they analysed water samples and uncovered the tiny living organisms hidden beneath the surface. 🔬💧
These experiences truly set Children’s University apart, allowing students to pursue their interests, try new things, and realise learning can happen anywhere!
