Hello School Holidays… ☀️

Welcome back to 47 snack requests before 10am, hearing “Muuuum!” and “I’m bored” despite a house full of toys, and wondering how it’s physically possible for siblings to argue over absolutely nothing. 😂

If you’re ready for a little breather (or just want your kids to burn off some of that school holiday energy), I’d love to help! 🌈

Never underestimate the power of a simple set of building blocks. 😉

To a child, they are more than just toys… they are castles, cities, dreams, and endless possibilities. Through building, children learn to problem-solve, collaborate, communicate, and persist through challenges. They learn that it’s okay if things fall down, because they can always rebuild. 🤗

In those small moments of play, some of life’s biggest lessons are being learned. 💛

🎂 Birthday notice! 🎈

As I’ll be celebrating my birthday on the 22nd of June, I’ll be taking the 21st–22nd of June off and will be unavailable for bookings during this time.

As a babysitter and someone who spends a lot of time with kids, I know just how much joy Daniel Coleman (“Danny Go”) brings into so many homes. His videos are such a huge comfort, energy outlet and happy part of so many children’s routines, so hearing the recent news about his son has been absolutely heartbreaking. 💔

For those who may not know, Danny originally started “Danny Go!” to create fun, interactive and movement-based content for kids, encouraging them to dance, learn, imagine and get active. Behind the bright colours and silly songs was also a dad who deeply loved his children and family.

Very sadly, Danny recently shared that his 14 year old son Isaac passed away after battling an aggressive form of mouth cancer linked to Fanconi anemia, a rare genetic condition he had lived with since birth. Danny had previously cancelled tours earlier this year to focus on being with his son and family during treatment.

The love Danny speaks about when talking about Isaac is just devastating and beautiful all at once. You can truly tell that behind the entertainer millions of kids know, there’s simply a father grieving his little boy.

Thinking of Danny, Mindy, Levi and everyone who loved Isaac during such an unimaginable time ❤️

I’ve been volunteering in a local school lately and I honestly can’t even explain how much I love it 🥹🤍

Being in the classroom, supporting the kids, helping with their learning (and navigating all the little personalities in between 😂) just feels so natural to me. It’s made me even more confident that this is exactly what I’m meant to be doing and something I bring into my babysitting every single day.

It’s never just “watching the kids” for me… I’m always looking for ways to engage them, support them, and make things fun while they’re learning too 🥰 Feeling very grateful for the opportunity and very excited for what’s ahead 🤍

A simple ‘signal’ for kids to say I’m ready to talk without needing to find the words first.

Sometimes it’s not that kids don’t want to open up… they just don’t know how. Creating safe, pressure free ways for them to do that can make such a difference 🤍

Whether it’s something like this, a routine or just consistent calm support, trust is built in the little moments. Always ❤️
