📚✨ BOOK CHARACTER PARADE 2026! ✨📚
It’s almost time for one of our favourite events of the year — the Nambucca Heads Public School Book Character Parade! 🎉

This year’s Book Week theme is Symphony of Stories, celebrating the stories, characters and imaginations that make reading so magical. 🎶📖

Come dressed as your favourite book character and get ready to bring our stories to life as we walk together through town!

📅 Wednesday 26 August
⏰ Meet at NHPS by 8.50am
👣 We’ll walk together from the school to the main street and back again.

We can’t wait to see who steps out of the pages this year! ❤️📚 Grab your costume, bring your smile and help us make this a parade to remember!

We have another busy week ahead at Nambucca Heads Public School, with plenty happening across the school from Monday 24 – Friday 28 August! ❤️🖤💛

🎭⭐ CONGRATULATIONS, CHRIS! ⭐🎭
We are incredibly proud to celebrate NHPS Year 6 student and School Captain, Chris, who has been selected to attend the North Coast Creative Arts Camp, held by the NSW Department of Education’s Arts Unit, later in Term 4!

Following hundreds of applications from students across the NSW North Coast, Chris has been selected as one of only 30 students for the Drama group — an incredible achievement! 👏

The five-night residential camp gives selected students in Years 4–6 the opportunity to extend their skills and knowledge in the creative arts through experiences not usually available in the classroom.

Working with department staff and his peers, Chris will step outside his comfort zone, develop new skills and immerse himself in creative and performing arts. 🎭🎨🎶

What a wonderful recognition of Chris’s creativity, talent and enthusiasm. We know he will make the most of this amazing opportunity! ❤🖤💛

🍰 WHAT AN AMAZING RESULT, NHPS!❤️🖤💛
A huge THANK YOU to our incredible NHPS community for supporting our Term 3 Cake Stall!

Together, we raised a whopping $597! 🎉👏

Thank you to our K–3 families who generously donated such an amazing selection of baked goodies, to everyone who helped organise and run the stall, and of course to all our families and students who purchased a treat (or two! 😉).

Every dollar raised goes straight back into supporting opportunities for our students, and we couldn't do it without the generosity of our wonderful school community.

📣 MID NORTH COAST ATHLETICS CARNIVAL UPDATE
The Mid North Coast Athletics Carnival is going ahead TODAY as planned at Coffs International Stadium. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

⚠️ High Jump Update:
Due to safety concerns, the High Jump competition has been postponed. It will be held next week, with further details to be provided as soon as they are confirmed.

Thank you to our families for your patience, flexibility and continued support as we navigate the unpredictable weather. 🌧️
