Giinagay from Sustainable Family Day Care (FDC), registered with Midcoast FDC. There have been some changes with my current FDC enrollments. I have one vacancy available on a Wednesday and a Thursday, starting as soon as possible. There will also be vacancies commencing at the beginning of Janurary 2026.

Process:
1. Send through an enquiry via this Facebook group, with your name and best mobile and email contact details. Along with your child's name, age, and what days you need, and what care arrangements you may need for 2026.
2. Wait for the Educator to contact you to organise a meet and greet. Multiple families will likely meet with the Educator between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM, and 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
3. When attending the meet and greet, bring with you any questions you may have, a hat, a drink bottle and a snack, so your little one can join in with meal time, if the FDC children are eating.
3. Once all families have met with the Educator, the Educator will contact each family with an outcome and enrolment details, if needed. Any families not offered a vacancy will remain on the waiting list and be contacted when vacancies arise. Families offered a vacancy will have 7 days to complete the enrolment paperwork, pay the bond, and begin care the following week. If completing the paperwork takes longer than 7 days, the vacancies may be offered to another family. Note, immunisations MUST be up to date when enrolling.
When considering childcare, I understand that finances are a crucial factor, and the following information may be helpful to know before you attend a meet and greet.
Midcoast FDC requires the following to be paid before your first day of attendance.
$50.00 enrolment processing fee.
$200.00 Bond - Refundable on your last day of care.
Midcoast Family Day Care Parent Levy Fee: $2.15
My Fees per hour per child: $15.05
Total hourly Fees: $17.20 (inclusive of the Parent Levy).
Keep in mind that each family's CCS percentage will be different as it is means-tested.
The full Fee is $17.20 - $13.56 (CCS rebate) = $3.64. Families will receive the CCS rebate on the $13.56, and the balance of $3.64 will be paid out of pocket as full fees.
Each family will pay $3.64 per hour per child out of pocket without receiving the CCS. $3.64 x 8 hours = $29.12 paid directly out of pocket per day per child, plus the parent gap fee.
If you are eligible for the Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS), this will only cover part of the Fee, up to the cap of $13.56, and families will still need to pay the balance of $3.64 out of pocket.
