This morning, we did a cultural appreciation activity by finger dot painting leaves that we found during vacation care. Finger dot painting is often associated with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. Dot painting expresses cultural appreciation by creating an opportunity for the children to learn about the culture and show respect. This activity also was an opportunity for enhancing the children's well-being, as dot painting activity acts as a calming sensory tool.

Here are some of the children's favourite days from the first week of vacation care. Such as Style it Day, Ready Set Grow, Vibe & Thrive, and believe it or not. The children demonstrated a sense of belonging and harnced their inner creativity while doing the activities.
