On Wednesday last week, the whole school took part in our Jump Off concluding event. The afternoon was organised and run by our SRC leaders, Charlie and Oliver.

Students showed off their fantastic skipping skills, both in their classes and through some impressive group routines. Our school raised almost $9,000 for the Heart Foundation!

A huge well done and thank you to all our students and families for supporting and encouraging this amazing fundraiser. What a fantastic effort from our school community!💛

Today our students were lucky enough to have visitors from SACA come and run a cricket clinic with our middle and junior primary units. Throughout the sessions, students participated in a range of fun activities, games and competitions designed to improve their throwing, fielding, bowling and batting skills.

During these activities, the students also developed valuable life skills such as teamwork, resilience and gratitude.

A big thank you to Ben and Lual for running these fantastic sessions with our students.

📚✨ Book Week 2026! ✨📚

What a fantastic way to celebrate our love of books and reading! Our students had a wonderful time dressing up as their favourite book characters and sharing in all the Book Week fun.

There were plenty of creative costumes, big smiles and much-loved characters brought to life! 🌟

The UPB class led engaging Science Week lessons for students across the school on Friday! 🤩💡

Each class participated in hands-on activities designed to build their understanding of how we can care for our planet through recycling, composting and making sustainable choices. Students explored practical ways to reduce plastic use and considered how small changes in our everyday actions can make a positive difference to our environment.

Lucy - 'Imogen taught us you can put food scraps in the compost and then put it on your garden to make the plants grow.'

Jackson Z - 'I liked how they taught us about composting, reducing waste and recycling. I liked the way they used games.'

Olivia - 'I really liked how Brock and Zakariyah taught us about what to put in the compost bin and what not to put in.'

Jojo - 'My favourite part was sorting the items into the correct bins with Jordan.'

Rhegan - 'James and Hunter taught me plastics are made out of really tough polymers and they take a long time to break down.'

Spencer - 'Taylor taught me a lot about fossil fuels, spoke clearly and knew what he was talking about.'

For National ‘Bullying. No Way!’ Week last week, the UPB class worked alongside their Reception buddies to develop their understanding of what bullying is and how to respond safely and confidently.

Students learned that bullying is Being mean, On purpose and Over and over (BOO). Together, they created ‘Helping Hands’ to remind them of the positive actions they can take to help prevent and respond to bullying. Ideas included being a friend, confidently asking someone to stop, reporting to a trusted adult, showing kindness and standing up for others, and asking for help when needed.

Our buddy program plays an important role in building positive relationships across the school and helps our younger students feel connected and supported, particularly when they need a little extra help or reassurance in the yard.
