Book Week 2026!
We will be celebrating book week this year from Monday the 24th to Friday the 28th August.
Your child is welcome to come dressed up as their favourite character! We also have lots of dress-up clothing available for children to use here at the centre.
We cant wait to see all your fabulous costumes!!

A sincere thank you to AGL for providing our children at Little Kindy Muswellbrook with such a meaningful and engaging learning experience.

As part of our current curriculum, the children have developed a strong interest in construction, demolition and heavy machinery. Their curiosity has sparked many discussions, role-play experiences and investigations, making AGL’s visit a wonderful opportunity to extend their learning in a real-world context.

Jamie, Hannah and Ollie shared close-up footage of the Liddell Power Station stacks demolition, giving the children a unique insight into this significant local event. They thoughtfully answered the children’s many questions, explaining the demolition process in an age-appropriate and engaging way that encouraged further curiosity, critical thinking and meaningful conversations.

We are also incredibly grateful for AGL’s generous donation of construction vehicles, which will become a valuable addition to our learning environment. These resources will support ongoing imaginative role play, collaborative play and inquiry as the children continue to explore their interest in construction and demolition.

Thank you for your generosity, enthusiasm and commitment to supporting children’s learning. We truly appreciate you taking the time to visit our centre and create such a memorable experience for our children.

Pyjama Week is coming to Little Kindy Muswellbrook! 💤

Join us next week, 3rd–7th August by wearing your favourite pyjamas as we support National Pyjama Day and help raise awareness and funds for children in foster care through The Pyjama Foundation.

Last week, Mick from Sustainable Futures - Muswellbrook visited Little Kindy to present us with our trophy for winning the Preschool/Childcare Sustainability Award for 2026.

We were especially excited to learn that the trophy was locally made using recycled plastic — a very fitting reminder of the importance of sustainability and the small ways we can all make a difference.

We're excited to be running a Picture Products fundraiser, and we'd love for you to be involved!

Your child's unique artwork can be transformed into beautiful, durable melamine plates and a range of other personalised keepsakes that your family will treasure for years to come.

Pictureplates are both practical and sentimental—children love eating from a plate featuring their own artwork, and years from now these special keepsakes will bring back wonderful childhood memories. They also make thoughtful gifts for grandparents, family members and friends.

Your child can create their masterpiece using paints, markers, handprints, footprints, stickers or even photographs—the brighter and more colourful, the better!

2. Create your artwork
Collect an artwork sheet from Nicole in the office or your child's educator.
Your child can complete their artwork at home using paints, markers, crayons, handprints, footprints, stickers or photos. If you would prefer, we're more than happy to help your child complete their artwork here at the centre.

3. Return your artwork
Please return completed artwork to Little Kindy Muswellbrook.
All Orders and online payments as well as completed artwork must be returned by Friday, 31 July 2026.

We are incredibly grateful to Muswellbrook Sustainable futures and Muswellbrook Shire Council for their generous donation of our beautiful new VegPod. 🌱

With the help of our wonderful children and educators, we have transformed the entry of our centre into a Community Herb Garden and a Kindness Rock Garden for everyone to enjoy. 🪴🎨🪨
Our community herb garden is a place where families and community members are welcome to pick a little, plant a little, and share in the joy of growing together. Beneath our VegPod, our kindness rock garden encourages everyone to take a rock, paint it with kindness and creativity, and return it or place it somewhere to spread happiness throughout our community.

We can’t wait to watch our garden grow and share it with our wonderful Muswellbrook community! 🌻

🌱 Celebrating Sustainability in Our Community! 🌱

We are incredibly excited to share that Little Kindy Muswellbrook took out **1st Prize** in the recent Muswellbrook Shire Sustainability Awards, receiving a $250 voucher to support our ongoing sustainability projects.

Sustainability is part of everyday life at Little Kindy. Our children love caring for our gardens, looking after our worm farms, and helping to reduce waste around the service. Through these hands-on experiences, children learn that even small actions can make a big difference to the world around them.

The awards ceremony was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other local services, share ideas, and celebrate the amazing environmental initiatives happening throughout our community.

Congratulations also to the other local services who had some great entries and were recognised with Highly Commended awards, receiving a $50 voucher each.

We are so proud of our children and educators for their enthusiasm, care, and commitment to creating a more sustainable future. 💚🌿

𝐌𝐔𝐌𝐒 & 𝐁𝐔𝐁𝐒 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒

We are now offering mums & bubs classes Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9am! Classes will vary each week, ranging from weight training, circuit based & cardio based for 30-45minutes per class.

Come & along, bring your little one and fill your own cup up! We have a designated space for the kids to play but can still see/be near mum the whole time. Bring their favourite toy, a bouncer and enjoy 30 minutes to recharge with exercise.

Kick start your training with us for just $250 for a 10/week block, pay up front & only pay $220 or $25/week!

*Open to all, even if you don’t have a little one.

Yesterday we welcomed Kyra from Richard Gill School to our centre for a fun-filled musical experience with our little learners!

Kyra shared her love of music by singing a variety of engaging songs with the children, creating a joyful and interactive atmosphere from the moment she arrived. The children were excited to join in using colourful musical shakers and flowing scarves as they moved, danced and sang along to the rhythm. 🎵🪇🌈

They also loved listening to Kyra play the ukulele, eagerly following along with the melodies and actions of each song. This wonderful incursion gave the children the opportunity to explore music through movement, sound, listening and participation while building confidence, coordination and self-expression.

A big thank you to Kyra for bringing so much energy, fun and music to our day — we can’t wait for your next visit!
